Holiday Inspiration Continued

I love structural elements and the blend of different textures. So creative.  Again, this was displayed last year as inspiration in Belgium.

Holiday Inspiration

I was fortunate to travel around Europe last year and be part of the holiday season.  Below are some inspirational images from a few really great floral shops in Belgium.

Street Art in NYC

NYC is good for many things…Broadway Theater, the Empire State, Central Park, Lady Liberty, Liza….
but the city lives and breathes thru the history of it's foundations, it's sidewalks, pipes, gutters,  cracks and crevices.
Recently I thought about joining forces with the delicate beauty of flowers and the hard cold working parts of a city that never sleeps. Photos by Logan Lockett https://www.facebook.com/shotbylogan

For those in the floral design world, the magazine Bloom's World is what first totally inspired me to follow my passion.  Little did I know, that after seeing it for the first time a couple of years ago, I would be fortunate to be on the cover.  Below are some images from the Spring/Summer 2013 issue.  If you have not checked it out, please do! www.blooms-world.com to see more exciting pages of the new floral designer's collection.

The issue includes some great creative stuff for folks in the industry. Feeling inspired? Feeling the love? The cover shot was part of a colletion of designs usingSambucas nigra 'elderberry'. It was kind of like Heidi Klum coming along and saying 'for your next challenge, you will be working with wood, create some inspiring designs using unique features…!  ....the material was so much fun to work with....

2013! An Amazing Year!

Welcome to my new blog! This blog is about sharing the creative process thru the eyes of a freelance floral designer.  Been doing this a few years now…  Follow along… and feel free to say hello!
